Luke 5: 1-11

After a miraculous encounter with Jesus—Simon Peter was in awe! Simon fell at the knees of Jesus and said: go away from me, Lord; for I am a sinful man!” Simon was right—he was a sinner. He fell short of God’s standard. Yet—Jesus associates with sinners like Simon and like us. He calls flawed people to Himself and He gives them life. May we leave everything behind to follow the One who calls the flawed and broken.
